Today, I am sharing a look that I actually wore yesterday to a local event for creatives, like myself. I had no idea there were so many other bloggers in and around my hometown. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to meet others who share the same interests that I do, and it makes me really excited for the future!
For those of you who are on the fence about starting a blog or just doing something you love, just go for it! Chase your dreams, and never look back! Who cares what people think? People are going to like you or dislike you no matter what you do, but who cares? Don’t be afraid to be yourself or to step outside of your comfort zone. I know it’s hard, trust me I’m still working on it [lol], but really and truly, you have one life, just go for it!
Okay, now onto the outfit deets….
You guys, I am a huge fan of blazers! I just feel like they can pull any outfit together. This particular look is perfect for any business casual event. I really love the plaid pattern and somewhat oversized fit of this blazer. I love that this blazer is slightly oversized making it seem as if it is a boyfriend blazer; however, it isn’t an actual boyfriend fit which is great because I’m only about 5’3″ and boyfriend blazers tend to be super long on me. This blazer gives the perfect length for shorter girls like me while still giving that cool oversized look. For reference, I’m wearing a size 0 in this blazer.
And, this cami is so perfect for dressing up or down, and it can easily transition throughout the seasons. During the Spring and Summer seasons, the cami can be worn alone, and during the Fall and Winter seasons, the cami can be worn with a jacket, coat, cardigan, or blazer. Dress it up with a skirt or culotte pant; or, dress it down with some denim. So much versatility! I’d say the cami is pretty true to size. I’m wearing a small. I probably could have gone with an Xsmall also.
As for the shoes, I have been looking for the perfect slip on mules, and these do not disappoint! Comfortable and simple. Doesn’t get any better than that. I would say these slip-ons run a tad small, as I am usually a size 7 in Steve Madden shoes, and had to size up to a 7.5 in these.
Hope y’all have a great week!
