Happy Monday everyone!!
Hope y’all had a great weekend!! I spent the weekend with my husband and friends, and it was awesome! We went to dinner, and, after, we rented a movie. Have you guys seen the movie Unbroken (the one from 2014, not 2018)?
Well, if you haven’t, you should!! It is soo soo good! And, what’s even better, it’s a true story! So awesome! It’s one of those movies that gets you motivated about life and makes you want to just push past your limits and never give up. We are capable of so much more than we think! My husband tells me this all the time, but I never really listen to him (sorry Clancy) haha!
But, this movie helped me to see that we actually CAN do more than we think (you know because it’s a true story and I’m a visual learner lol). It’s insane what our bodies can actually do if we have the right mind set.
Speaking of mind set, who struggles with being positive? (Insert raising hand emoji) I definitely do. I don’t know why it is so hard for me to be positive sometimes, but I will tell you what helps me though it. Maybe it will help you if you find yourself being negative and you don’t know what to do to lift yourself up.
When I start to feel overwhelmed or negative or afraid, the first thing I like to do is pray. Just spend some time with God because the truth of the matter is, He is the only One that understands, the only One that knows exactly what I am going through, and the only One that can fix it all.
Another thing I like to do in those moments of fear and doubt is remind myself of His truths. For instance, I will say these things in my head:
God is with me.
God loves me.
I belong to God.
God will never leave me nor forsake me.
God is taking care of me.
God is protecting me and guiding me.
God is my strength.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
God keeps me close to Him.
Nothing and no one can ever separate me from God and His love.
God is my best friend.
God is in control.
I could go on and on, but those are some of the truths that I tell myself when I am feeling low, and it truly does comfort me. I hope that it will help and comfort you as well! Give it a try!
So, stay positive! Don’t let anyone or anything bring you down. When you find yourself in a stressful or troubling situation, just trust God. Keep pushing through and persevere. God knows what is best for you. Spend time with Him and trust Him! He’s got your back! Remember, He loves you, and remember those truths mentioned above because they are applicable to you as well.
Hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!
