Happy Monday guys! Sorry for not having any blog posts up last week. I kind of took the week off because a break was needed after coming back from New York.
If you are wondering, yes, New York was AWESOME!!! I already can’t wait to go back!! I think I’m going to do a blog post all about New York within the next couple of weeks. Would y’all be down for that?? If not, it’s cool, just let ya girl know! And, if you are interested, what would you like to see/read about??
Anyways, do you ever wonder what your purpose is? I know I do. I heard a great message at church yesterday. It was all about God’s will for us and how to live in His will. First, we must let go of our own will for us. Forget about the things you want to do and start letting God guide you to what He wants you to do. I know, easier said than done right? I feel you. I get it. It’s a struggle for me as well. God has a will and purpose for each and every one of us. He wants us to know those purposes. But, we must put Him first.
We can let Him guide us along His will by doing what we already know.. what is said in His word. As my pastor would say, the Bible is our instruction manual. This is something I need to do as well, I have been slacking so much! But, it is something we should do to become closer to God and to follow His will.
Also, stop looking for a sign! I do this so much, and I know I shouldn’t. I am always looking for some sort of sign to tell me or show me what I should be doing or what my purpose is in this life. But, that is not the answer. God is! Jesus is! No more looking for signs! Just get into His word, pray, spend time with Him, and surrender yourself (and your own will/plans) and let Him guide you along His will for you. He knows what is best.
Don’t be discouraged if your plan isn’t going the way you want it to. God has something MUCH better. And, again, these are all things I struggle with myself and it is something I need to work on as well. So, if you struggle with finding a purpose or following God’s will, it’s okay. You aren’t the only one. God is with us, and He is helping us to get there.
Hope y’all have a great week! Love y’all! God bless!
